At a glance the landscape beckons you. Haiti, a country rich with earth's natural resources, a people warm and welcoming, and a wealth of opportunities ripe for economic exploitation.
As your gaze begins to wander, your mind starts to ponder the great wonders and possibilities we could realize together. Many came to Haiti before us with great zeal, eagerness, and often times with a wrecking ball.
We didn't want to pursue that path. With so many viable solutions within reach, we turned to the people themselves and asked what they believed was the right approach for Haiti to thrive once again.
"We need help to continue to bless our kids and our community. Mostly, we need love and encouragement to keep doing this great work and calling that God has called us to do. Daily we provide our kids with necessities for their physical, mental, and spiritual well being. Before the kids came to Mission Light of Life, they had no hope. They felt as though they just existed but had no purpose or reason. Some were on the streets begging for food. Some have never seen a doctor, and no basic education. Everything has changed for the better. Now they are well cared for. We are preparing our kids to become smart and strong leaders in Haiti. They feel safe and they have hope. They are loved."
